A utility move that has existed for centuries, now taught in intricate detail by Jason England in this 35 minute downloadable video.

The Overhand Shuffle is a staple move in the fundamentals of card magic.

The deck is held in one hand, and cards are pulled one over the other to create a truly random order throughout the deck. Or is it?

Step inside for a closer look at arguably one of the most useful and practical techniques for the professional performer: The Overhand False Shuffle.

Learn the ins and outs of controlling single cards on top, bottom, slugs of cards on top and bottom, Larry Jennings' touch on the jog shuffle, a full deck control, and much more in 35 minutes of intricate detail.

It's no secret that the Overhand False Shuffle has been published in many different sources spanning centuries of time. However, never before has there been a video resource consolidating many of the techniques scattered throughout literature while matching the expertise and technique of Jason England.

A rare look in examination of The Expert At The Card Table and the Erdnase system of Cull Shuffling.

I rarely write reviews but this video was perfect. I had been looking for a tutorial on the overhand shuffle and variations and it ended up opening my eyes to understanding more of the Erdnase text. Well worth the few dollars if you are searching for more information on this awesome shuffle. Great instruction by Jason England and it is even directed by Andrei Jikh (watched him in Genesis years ago and just found out how well he has done in finance…lol from card magic to riches!) Thank you Theory 11!!!

This is an essential move that you must have in your repertoire. I would rather watch Jason England explain and demonstrate it than read Erdnase any day. I disagree with some reviewers that this move is difficult for beginners. There are many variants taught here for all skill levels. In my opinion, the False Overhand Shuffle is one of the first five card moves you should learn as you will use it all the time.

It's perfectly priced. Nothing new here, but it's all in one place. You'll learn some helpful slug controls, full deck false and some stock/cull shuffles explained from Erdnase. Jason England downloads are always money well spent.

I'll be brief. AWESOME! I don't care your skill level. Buy it. There is something for everyone.

Vintage Jason England! This is a great resource for this sleight, it provides a stand-alone tutorial that is also a perfect complement to other sources in the literature. As always, Jason's teaching is clear and thorough. The walk-through of the Erdnase stocking system and cull shuffle is gravy, I am among the group of people that finds reading The Expert at the Card Table somewhat arduous so this was a great feature for me. At $6.99 this is a no-brainer.

Well, Jason has done it again. I never knew how deceptive the false over hand shuffle could be. Jason goes over many different false over hand shuffles and they take little practice so it's a must buy for any card guy.

As per the usual, Mr. England does not disappoint. Very well taught and great for anyone who uses the overhand shuffle. Not for beginners, but not too knacky either. I will be using the FOS as my go to FS for my strolling events.

Jason England does a solid job of teaching. The main drawback in my opinion is that no time is spent on how to actually position the hands, or the size of the injog, break, etc. Otherwise, good video, worth a few watches even if you're already familiar with the subject.

This is a very comprehensive lesson on the overhand shuffle. Some of the handling will take time to learn, but this is something that is very useful for anyone that wants to improve their handling skills.

Jason England is THE best teacher for both easy and hard moves and all of his projects are a must for every magician! This one is no exception! Everything throughout is clear and easy to follow! All the applications that he teaches are great and really useful!

I've bought a lot of magic in my life. Some from here or ellusionist and a lot of other places and I must say Jason England is the absolute best teacher I have seen. Daniel Madison is a close second but Jason is just great at breaking things down to make sense to anyone, beginner or not. I don't give out many 5 star ratings because I consider 5 stars to mean it was perfect. But this video really is perfect.

Extremely satisfied. All the moves taught in the video were practical, like something you would actually use. And Jason's teaching was fantastic. Very clear and concise. Looking forward to more of his material.

I managed to master a very passable overhand false shuffle controlling an entire poker hand at the top of the deck by watching this video and practicing during a 4 hour flight layover; that is thanks to Jason's very clear and helpful instructions in this video. I've still got a lot more techniques in this video to learn, but so far, I'm impressed! In fact, I was so impressed that I bought a bunch more of Jason's videos despite not even exhausting this one.

As a beginner, I am reading both Royal Road and Expert at the Card Table and though both of those books have very excellent explanations I was looking for a visual explanation to further reinforce what I am learning. I found this video and purchased it and was amazed at how thorough Jason was above and beyond expectations. I plan on purchasing ALL his videos now :)

This is a really nice, in-depth tutorial of the overhand shuffle. Jason teaches a lot of applications for this move. He covers all the important points for the overhand shuffle which make this move very versatile. Overall, this a great download that you should definitely get.

Absolutely wonderful video. Jason England is a fantastic teacher. Not only does he explain how to perform the overhand false shuffle, he goes in-depth about different methods for it and different ways to accomplish the same goal. He teaches slowly enough that it's easy to understand the first time watching it which is really great. Highly recommended.

Not only does jason give expert instruction, but also something that inspires you to use this move. The explanation is in depth and the amount of information is outstanding. Although it's true that all of this can be found in various books, the subtleties that you get from watching make it well worth the price.

Amazing teaching as always. Should be a dollar at most. Simple method but very easy with practice. 3/5, 60%. Too pricey.

As always, Jason England's teaching is excellent. This covers basically the entire chapter on the overhand from Expert at the Card Table, and all of the little things that can be done with it - as well as a few other, very useful techniques. The full deck false shuffle is brilliantly effective. Very good download.

Perhaps the oldest, more versatile move in all of card handling. The stuff Mr. England puts out is worth so much more than what they are priced at!

Great teaching, great move, very comprehensive. It's easy to fool layman with this kind of shuffle. 5 star!

I didn't know so much could be done with an overhand shuffle. As always, it's Jason England quality: clear teaching, great techniques, inspiring (you see a master like that and it makes you want to push yourself further). Great to improve your repertoire regardless of your level of skill.

WOW! Just plain wow! This is perfect! TEACHING METHOD: Very detailed and easy to follow, perfect for all levels. CONTENT: Contains many different moves, all of which are thoroughly explained. Whatever you are looking for related to the overhand shuffle, it will be in this video. You can also easily come up with different variations. OVERALL: Very nice, awesome, easily 5/5. When I bought this, I was scared I would not learn anything, but there are so many moves taught in such detail that it is very unlikely you will know all of them, and even if you do, you will certainly know how to ameliorate your technique in many different ways just like I did! I REALLY and HONESTLY recommend this to all magicians, regardless of your age and of whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced. A must have!

Definitely one of my favorite teachings on this site. When I first got into card magic years ago I learned a few of these overhand shuffle techniques, but then, like many card junkie, did away with them thinking that they looked too simple. Now my experience has shown me that simple is often times best, and Jason England is by far one of the best teachers when it comes to straight-forward, effective, highly versatile sleights such as this. The production quality of the video is great, and as always, Jason doesn't skimp on the history and background of the moves you're learning. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Everyone should use this. Appears as a very open and fair shuffle. No funny moves. It is great.
