The signature magic trick of International FISM winner Mathieu Bich for over half a decade. Torn. Restored. Transformed.

A playing card is selected then shuffled back into the deck. An indifferent card is shown and torn into four separate pieces. What happens next will turn your mind inside out.

Slowly and methodically you begin to restore the card, piece-by-piece.

Each segment of the card is shown clearly and fairly before it is visibly restored onto the next. The motions are completely logical and silky smooth. NO funny movements.

The restoration is a masterpiece of aesthetic perfection - but it's not over yet. Without hesitation, you turn the restored card over to reveal that it has transformed into the spectator's selection.

TnR is a trick that defines visual magic. If you could genuinely restore a torn playing card, this is EXACTLY what it would look like. Shot in high definition in Las Vegas, Nevada with 85 minutes of intricate instruction by Chris Kenner - creator of the legendary Torn Asunder card restoration.

The effect is pretty great. But the gimmick is hard to make, takes you all this and all that. I mean, it's all household items, but that's not like other possible TnRs that only use one card. With that said though, this effect is very amazing, once you've learned to make the gimmick and actually put in like at most 2 hours to make it.

I learned this trick waaaay back when theory11 first opened in 2007. And I will say I love this effect BUT I have to forewarn anyone reading these reviews deciding to buy this, it is pretty difficult, even for intermediate card magicians. The gimmick, though brilliant, will take some time to get down correctly. You make the gimmick at home with props laying around the house with the exception of maybe 1 thing. But overall an amazing trick. It will just take some time and practice.

This is an awesome and a visual torn and restored effect but the only problem is the gimmick, which is pretty hard to make.

Good idea for an effect but believe me, If you do this on the streets you will be caught, plus it's not that good looking. The gimmick is demanding and If you don't do this correctly it looks bad. Good explanation of the trick though.

The effect is great, though the gimmick is really hard to make. Great explanation in the video, it's really simple to follow along. I say buy it, learn it, live it, and love it.

This effect is so awesome but to perform it you'll have to use some cards from different decks, so it's a bit impractical. For every performance you destroy some cards. The method is quite cool though and you end very clean.

This version of TnR is the best TnR trick I've ever seen in my life!

NEVER GET THIS TRICK. Horribly disappointing. You need to buy 3 decks. All Bicycle and destroy 2 of them. Complete Ripoff! Just get REF4M by Blake Vogt.

Excellent trick. Brilliantly crafted with simple handling. Maybe an hour of practicing and you'll have it in the bag. Well worth the money. FYI You will need to have/buy a minimum of 4 decks of matching cards so be prepared to pay another 15 bucks or so for that. The rest of the supplies needed might run another 10 dollars tops. Buy it and enjoy the heck out of it.

This is one of the best tricks you can ever find! The best Torn & Restored there is to date. This is way out of the box!

This is my favorite trick from theory11, but sometimes you may not be able to find what you need. I just happened to have what I need at home. I can't wait to go perform this to somebody.

This is a brilliant trick, however its not very pratical. Not to say this isn't a good one, but I have performed it for three people and decided it wasn't my cup of tea. If you have a thirst for knowledge I took away some ideas from it and i think everyone else will too.

You need some gimmicks, and these gimmicks are so hard to find!

Excellent gimmick!! Such a 'pure' restoration, right in front of their faces... and then it changes! Absolutely brilliant! Love this.

I'm a working magician and have purchased two other torn and restored effects over the past 10 years. I never performed either of those other routines in any of my shows because of the complex setup or the angle sensitivity. The simplicity of this method is truly astounding and is the BEST representation of any "torn and restored" effect on the market today. This is so pure and exactly how it would look if magic were "real." I can guarantee that I will be performing this one for the rest of my life. This will consist of a lot of initial setup as far as construction of the gimmick but involves nothing that's hard to do. This method is like no other and is pure genius! After you make the gimmick - it's pretty much self working; get ready to be talked about.

This was not my first theory11 purchase, but I loved it and it was definitely my favorite. Chris Kenner is a great teacher and gives you lots of tips and advice. I gave it four stars, because if you do not make the gimmick perfectly it wont look 100% right. The gimmick is easy to make and there's not too many things that you don't have lying around. If you don't, it will take a quick trip to CVS or Rite Aid to get the materials. It's quick to make and easy. This trick is amazing - BUY IT!

I must say, there are people whose minds just work on another level than the rest of us. Mathieu Bich is one of them. I have followed the release of his material for many years, from trying to sift through his French website years ago (and trying to understand it) to the current offerings he has here at theory11. Incomparable is the only word. Not only are his methods ingenious, his routines are structured and every conceivable scenario is thought out and prepared for. If you are doubting purchasing this effect then you are making a horrible decision. As much as I want to keep this to myself, it's magic like this that can build reputations for many magicians- making spectators think they have seen the real thing in the process. Chris Kenner does a wonderful job explaining the routine, construction and tips for performance and with a performer of his caliber, you cannot go wrong with this product. I mean, if you were really going to tear a card up and put it back together, wouldn't this be what it would look like? I congratulate the team at theory11 on making this available to the masses. The only problem now is trying to avoid being burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft! It looks freakin' incredible! Thanks again for a great routine and I look forward to seeing more in the very near future.

i saw the preview of the trick and was fooled. I was shocked at how each piece was being restored so smoothly and when the card was turned i started shouting like mad. Then i got the explanation and when i saw the gimmick i stood up and started clapping for Mathieu Bich. Hands down the best torn and restored i have seen ever. Get it NOW!

Having studied some of the other piece-by-piece torn and restored card effects, it's such a joy to finally have the ability to just take the pieces and openly, visibly stick them together-- no awkward handling, no split-second cover with the fingers, the pieces never leave sight as each fuses with the next. And as your audience marvels at the miracle before them, you get to watch from behind and marvel at the wicked genius of the method, smiling to yourself at the thought of the kicker still to come.

WOW, this trick is absolutely brilliant! It must have took Bich like 10 years to think up of a gimmick like this. it's incredible! Yes, i know why you're reading this, you want to see if this trick is worth the money and all those details. Okay, if you know TORN by Daniel Garcia, then this review will be a lot more helpful. This trick cannot be compared to Torn. When performing this effect, you will not be afraid to flash cuz it's practically impossible, unlike Torn. In my opinion, Torn is WAY too hard to perform to an audience. The gimmick for TnR is so mind-blowing and creative, that this trick is SO simple to perform, you don't have to know any card sleights at all or any of that. I will admit though, the gimmick will get you very frustrated trying to make, i screwed up a couple of my cards trying to make the gimmick and got totally pissed. You should probably watch the entire DVD, then attempt to make the gimmick. Hope this helped! Seriously, you need to buy, it's so easy to perform.

You are most likely reading this wondering if you should put this one in your shopping cart... well If you think you will perform it or not, I think its worth it either way. As Chris mentions a number of times, "it's so much fun to play with." And that's exactly what I think too. Parts of the gimmick I have seen before but not for a TnR effect. I can't say if this is better than TORN but they are both good in their own ways. Only thing I would say about this is that I would recommend patience when constructing the gimmick. If you don't have any, I would recommend you get a good magic friend who has some patience to help you construct it. This is one of those effects that you will love doing even if you never perform it and just do it for yourself in the mirror. It's still worth every cent. Just SO much fun to play with. Thank you T11 for yet another great product. Keep it up!

Very good and I mean a good trick. I know TORN but TNR is outside the box. I love it. I took a star away because this trick needs a gimmick, so you can't perform it right away. Don't let that put you down. Other then that, TNR is the best Torn and Restored card trick I know. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a killer effect. I am a happy customer and so will you be.

I've just purchased the DVD and downloaded it and I am just in total amazement. The method is SO CLEVER! Mathieu Bich is truly a genius. If you haven't really heard of him, you will now. I am aware of probably five other T & R effects, but this one is VERY different from all the other ones. It is not as much of a knuckle buster, allowing for it to be very open and fair with each restoration which sets it up for the killer ending. Chris Kenner goes into great detail in teaching from beginning to end and is funny to watch. The method is so diabolical. I am very very happy with this purchase.

When I got the download and when Kenner explained the method, I laughed because it was just pure genius. Mathieu Bich is one of the BEST creators out there. HANDS DOWN its the BEST torn and restored card effect I've ever seen and known in my opinion. This is included into my act because its just a killer effect. And they can keep the card as a souvenir. I don't normally do TnR effects but this one is just AMAZING and a must do effect! THE BEST I'm tellin' you THE BEST!

INSANE effect. When I saw the explanation I laughed out loud. This is a work of pure genius! The teaching is great and the effect leaves people speechless. Definitely worth every penny, cent, Swedish crown or whatever other currency you can dream up. If you want a great piece of magic that is as fun to perform as it is to watch, get TNR now!
