1st Edition Guardians - Cheating?

Don't take me wrong on this topic. I know ill probably get B****ed at for saying this, but I really love Theory11, and in no way am I trying to bash them.

But....I'm wondering. Isn't it very possible that t11 made the 1st Ed. Guardians, to hype up the site and the cards- and ultimately...make more money?

I mean, if I recall correctly, the Guardians said "1st Edition" when they were being sold. Didn't this mean that they already knew a second ed. would come out? (I think i'm wrong on this one, so correct me if i am, not sure though)

Even if what i said above is false, couldn't they have known all along that a second edition would come out? So they just released a 'crappy' verison to hype it up? (Get people to buy 1st ed. and then even more to buy 2nd ed.)

I mean, i've never seen or felt cards as bad as the 1st Ed. guardians. They came out of the pack, and I couldnt even fan them properly.

What I'm saying is that t11 could have simply made a 'crap' 1st ed. to hype 'em up, and then 'act' on the complaints buy the customers?

Again, I am in NO WAY bashing t11, I love this place. Its just a thought and a question that needs answering.

OMG you are bashing t11 you gonna get banned.

lol

Yes it is absolutely possible. E does it with nearly every deck they release. And JB and WH do have some experience in this dept, so you would think that with this much experience, one could avoid wasting money on a bad batch of cards.

However, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and would like to think that the T11 crew was surprised to find out their first batch was awful. But it is a business, so who knows. I would give them some credit though judging on their displayed integrity thus far.

All that said, “you are bashing t11 you gonna get banned”

i actually liked the feel of the 1st edition guardians, when they were sold out i quickly ordered some more from another shop who still had the 1st in stock. what is true is the fact that they don't fan, but i don't care too much about that, because when i want to do some fanning i just use other cards. of course the 2nd edition is very different, but it kind of feels too normal to me. they are not bad, but quite close to bikes. be aware though that i only have a first impression of the 2nd because i have them and use them, but i haven't even gone through one deck, so i can't tell too much.
anyway, to get back on topic: i doubt that t11 made a product which they weren't satisfied with in the first place, i much more believe that they made the second edition to live up to the very high expectations and i also think that by changing the guardians they showed us that they are not just some company selling some product, but listen to their customers.
nevertheless i can't deny that this might have helped them to a couple of extra bucks, and it made the 1st edition more valuable, but i don't care.

i still dont get how to spot the diffrence between the 2nd edition guardians and 1st edition. Not in the feel bu tthe boxes

Hey.

The difference is in the T11 logo. Look closely at the two of them.

And just to clear things up, we called the 1st Edition Guardians that because we knew that we would eventually run out of the supply that we ordered and we knew that we were going to try and improve and refine the quality of the cards with each subsequent run. That still holds true. We'll take a look at the feedback that we get from you guys and try to step things up again on the next run.

Oh, and just to reiterate, voicing a negative opinion around here won't get you banned. It'll get you killed. We have a T11 Sniper and he shoots people whose forum accounts don't sing our praises daily.

That's not true.

Yes, it is.

Do you actually think that's a camera he's holding? It's a well disguised top secret military grade phazer. It shoots you, you feel a slight buzz down your neck, and hours later you collapse, DEAD. Some people mistake the buzz feeling for excitement (he only uses it once a Theory11 artist performs a trick for you.)

so watch out. Whenever you see Dana coming, RUN!!!!

This is top secret info....and you didn't hear it from me!

No offense guys....but I think some of you need to get out and perform some magic..and meet people.

...Sniper????....Get a life please?

Haha, they're just having a bit of fun.

As for the 1st edition, if my sources are correct, it was the very first thing they released. Obviously it wouldn't be too good, so they listened to the feedback they got, and printed off a 2nd edition which was much better than the first.

Hope this helps
