A lesson in presentation...

This is a fresh approach to a simple trick. Learn from this man.

If anyone wants to get good at presentation, take a simple trick that you don't use and recreate it. Make up new, interesting patter and practice it for an audience. If enough time and effort is devoted to the presentational aspect of our magic, we can all expect a round of applause after every trick.

That's actually really good. I recently started doing card revelations, such as stigmata and tattoo joe (and also my own), and I find they're the most satisfying tricks to perform because they let you be so so so creative ;)

I have heard that the two work together and Nyman once revealed a bit about how Derren comes up with his stuff. Presentation wise.

I thought it was just the one effect? Are there others?

The DVD set contains material that are sold as single items, or from his lectures. First it opens up with a performance section then explanations, the Hidden is the first effect.

There is also an interview section, Marc Paul interviews him, then a bit of fun with Max Maven and Derren Brown, followed by the list of movies Andy acted in ( he's a pro actor as well, got his own www.imdb.com page ). He also gives some pretty good advice, along with his svengali deck demostration which is amazing, if you'll work in a magic shop as a demonstrator in the future.

Cheers,

Sounds like a nice dvd but ive already got way too many items on my wishlist that it is practically impossible to crowbar this in. Someday in the future...
