A quick survey...

Here's a quick survey to find out where I'm at and where everyone else is at in the art.
  1. How long have you been into magic?
  2. How long have you been into flourishing/cardistry/XCM/(whatever you'd like to call it)?
  3. Who inspired you to get into magic?
  4. Who inspired you to get into flourishing/cardistry/XCM/(whatever you'd like to call it)?
  5. Do you perform professionally or just for fun?
  6. If you perform just for fun, are you thinking of going pro?
Here are some random questions you may also want to answer:
  1. Which effect got you into magic?
  2. Which effect got you into flourishing/cardistry/XCM/(whatever you'd like to call it)?
  3. What is your favourite magic effect and who's the creator?
  4. What is your favourite flourish and who's the creator?
  5. What is the best original flourish you have seen created by a non-professional?
******

These are my answers:
  1. About 10 months
  2. About 6-7 months
  3. Oz Pearlman
  4. Daniel Madison
  5. Just for fun
  6. I don't think I'll go pro. I might do a few free gigs when I get a lot more experience to see if I'm good enough to go pro.
Random question answers:
  1. I think it was Oz Pearlman's Ambitious Card routine and Biddle Trick. The Triumph performed amazingly well by some YouTube fellow was what got me even more intrigued.
  2. It was a few false 3-packet cuts that got me intrigued. Daniel Madison's Syblnthrn was the one that made me want to look more into this field. Then I came across Decknique
  3. Right now it would have to be Dan and Dave's Twinsplit Remix 2.
  4. At the moment I'm obsessed with Dan and Dave's Molecule 4_ny. Sexy, smooth, spinny and flippy fun!
  5. It would either be fiddlingsteve's "Clueless 1" cut or Kevin Ho's "The Sick and Twisted Wings of the Mockingbird" which sort of looks like Clueless 1 taken to the next level.
Cheers,
Shanku
