About Wynns

Hi, I've been doing cardistry for about a year and a half now and I really want to purchase a deck of Wynn's playing cards. They look great and they seem like a cool antique/deck to have. I see them on eBay for around $13 to $30, but the top right and bottom left corners seemed to be oddly rounder than the other edges like some of the cheap Bee playing cards you see at pharmacies. Mostly when I see Wynns in action, they have normal corners. I am a bit sceptic as I do not want to be cheated out of my money. Please respond. Thanks!

Those are cancelled decks. When cards are used at a casino, they're switched out after a game to prevent foul play. The casinos often resell these but clip the corners so the cards can't be reused. The good Wynns will be uncancelled and therefore uncut. Cancelled cards are more readily available, but you want uncut cards for sure. Those are harder to find.

Thanks man. I'm looking at them on cardvolution and they seem to be reasonably priced. Can you recommend any other sources? Again, thanks.

No problem. I'm actually not sure where the best places are to buy Wynns nowadays. Location is definitely an issue. I'm nowhere near Singapore, so Cardvolution would be a bad option for me. If that's near you, I recommend them. Also, Cardvolution seems to be out of stock at the moment.

eBay is probably your best bet. People might trade them, but they're a commodity. Good luck finding them; I hope you get to experience them!

Also, saving up for Brown Wynns from T11's Archive is a good option.
