Okay, so from what I hear there are two types of Aladdin 1001's; plastic-coated and air-cushion. Are the plastic-coated ones still available? The only ones I can find are air-cushion.

The old ones are still around in seven-elevens in singapore and such, but noone got the bright idea to buy them from there and sell them on eBay yet.
Yeah, he's right. I have a few of the air-cushioned ones, and I love them. The backs are awesome, and they feel great.

USPCC has discontinued production of the plastic coated ones - which IMO were better as the stock was slightly thicker and it lasted longer & fanned better.
The air cushion ones start out feeling really good, but clump together after about 2hs of practice.
