Hi all !

Umms, so I'm kinda new to T11 forums, so please pardon me if I've done anything wrong o_O

Ok, I'm a beginner at flourishing. Say 2 weeks or so. I've realised my intrest is more on the cardistry side so umms, yeah.

The problem is, when I attempt to do a triple Charlier cut, the part where the third pack falls to the palm, it kinda gets really wobbly and the 3rd pack falls off.

I would also like to ask you guys if you've any exercises or some sort to stretch the hands or some beginner cuts...

Thanks for everything. :p

Welcome! To the forums and to the cardisty world. Always glad to see a new face in the community. Well, I can't offer any tips on the triple charlier since I do not practice that cut. But, I would recomment learning the swing cut, revolution cut, picot cut, and the syble. Once you get those down you are pretty much set to learn and create anything you want. =)

Welcome to Theory11. To answer your problem, since that you started two weeks, it will may take some time to execute the triple charlier cut. Keep working the charlier cut for now.

Dan And Dave's Trilogy DVDs - the Everything Else Disc - has great hand exercises and a section called Flourishing 101 that you might want to pick up.

A great beginner cut is the Swing Cut. I'm not a great flourisher, but my swing cut is quite good and always gets a good reaction.

As for your Triple Charlier cut, it's probably the way you position your hands and fingers. I try to let gravity take that packet and have my pinky keep it from falling to the floor

There's a DVD called Xtreme Beginnerz 1 which has finger fitness related things too. As far as stretches go though - if you keep practicing flourishes which make your fingers stretch, they will act like exercises at the gym, so that'll help too. Welcome! :D

Ooh, Hi =)

Umms, I've kinda got Charlier Cut down after about 2 days of practise.
Got some easier cuts like Helix 190 down too...

Would be working on syble thing o_O
Ohyes, I've been learning from DnD's trilogy, but it seems that I'll need to build my foundation up first before trying something like J5...

Thx for all =)

I had huge troubles with the triple charlier too at first. The key is practicing, until you start to fell the right position and pressure from the thumb especially, and all other fingers. After a while it starts being what it's supposed to be, and then you'll be on your way to perfect triple charlier!
