Bicycle Masters Quality or Quantity

We all know Bicycle Masters last longer,

But do you guys think it's better to pay the extra for the Masters (less decks but longer)
or
Pay less for normal bikes with a shorter turnover deck life, but get more

The old saying says quality > quantity
but what about this predicament...
Quality or quantity?

Cheers

My two cents: I'd go for the Masters, because they resist a majority of warping that plague regular Bikes. I also love the thicker stock -- it lets the deck "age" well. To be fair to our forum host, my Guardians have also outperformed Bikes.

I would love to work at USPCC so I could learn what the real differences are between all these custom decks. My suspicion: There are very few. It's hard for me to tell a difference between the feel of a Masters and Guardians. My slightly educated guess is that USPCC offers only a few different types of card stock. Between different finishes, stock and inks, there's only a few combinations that would truly differentiate decks.

Masters all the way. I hate regular Bicycles. Masters quality is terrific.

But when it comes to price, Tally-Ho's aaaall the way.

I HATE REGULAR BICYCLES!
I HATE I HATE I HATE!

Ok, I'm done.

Nope, nope, nope. I have owned four Masters Deck, and yes, they start off great, but compared to standard Bikes, they suck. The clump up way too fast, and the Ace, although very beautiful, sticks out like a sore thumb. For me, I'll always stick to Rider Back 808s for performances. Great quality, cheap price... what's not to love?

If you consider Bicycle Masters better than Bicycles, I recommend using them. I don't personally think there is a real difference, so I would use normal Bicycles.

it depends on how you handle your cards, if you are one of those people that can destroy a masters in 1-2 days don't get them and get a bunch of bicycles, just be careful with your cards and they will last you a long time.

My masters lasted me 2 months before they started to clump and that is with constant use, of couse i like to use custom cards but i use normal bikes if i am trying to come up with something that involves ripping cards because they are cheap.

overall-masters for preformance, 808s for practice and destruction :D

agree on everything except the ace
the ace of spades always stands out in all decks
thats what its supposed to do

i dislike masters
at first i liked the idea of them
how they were selling them
quality vs quantity
but that was all a lie
they dont have better quality
the finish feels exactly the same
also
the thinner the deck the better
so all E decks FAIL
all decks borders naturally plump up with use
because they come in contact with moisture
making Dls look bad
and making the cards clump up
so having a thin deck means that less card comes into contact with possible moisture
so less moisture will get in over time
masters start off fat
and so they suck in moisture like a sponge
so after a week DLs look significantly worse
also
warping only affects rigid decks
regular bikes are rigid so they are affected
masters are soft so they are not
it has nothing to do with their thickness

this topics basis is wrong
its not quality vs quantity
its average expensive quality vs average quality
dump this bike trash and get some tallyhos instead
they are better/equal in every way

bicycle 808 and the masters are two different cards.
for the guys who post that they feel no difference when using them are probably new to using these cards.
in my own opinion, i think time and experience handling different types of playing card will feel make you the difference in them.
for me there are really big imporvements on the masters. the stock is thicker yet they still are quite soft, and can bend with minor marks on them. the finish is also superior(although i still prefer the linoid finish). they last ridiculously longer than any other deck i have encountered, not just the stock, but the finish can take some abuse. i have used a master and it lasted me for about 3 months, and no i dont just fan them and look at them. these cards are tough easy to handle, and overall are just better than regular bikes.
they dont warp, they dont clump, well at least not when i handle them.
washing your hands once in a while after and before handling a deck of cards really help BTW.

on the down side.... they are white, that means they get dirty really fast no matter how clean you keep your hands.
guys who have sweaty palms will have a BIG problem with these decks since they do absorb alot of moisture(having a porper clip will help)
DL's are also a problem like Aos said. especially if you are new to magic because the borders are really thick, personally i have no problems with that.
and ohh yeah... the ace of spades on these things. i really dont like the whole "eagle" thing in there and the colored ace.

as for the offer of quality vs quantity...

I'd go for TH9's(no questions asked)
