Okay, I am really new to theory11's forums, so if I'm breaking a rule by posting these links, please do go easy on me, as it is imperative for me to post these, due to my question:

Video 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-wxP-tQ1SA

Video 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzD2rXTc3QQ

In the first video, if you skip to 0:15, you'll see Calen levitate a napkin up to his hand without moving it, and in the second video, if you skip to 1:01, you'll see him pull a water bottle across a table into his hand with barely any movement.

Now, I've been searching all over to figure out what he used, and how he did it, but I only have a few theories (no pun intended), on how it's executed. I don't think he used merely loops, because most magicians would have to move their hand around quite bit to animate an item with them, and Calen used absolutely no movement. I thought maybe he used something with invisible thread, and a reel, but I'm stumped as to what the item is called... The only thing I can really think of right now is maybe the tarantula or the spider pen pro. Any suggestions?

check out Power Word Fall by papercrane. I don't know if it is exactly what Calen is doing but it is similar.

Calen creates some amazing effects, most of which he doesn't tip. Often, I've noticed that he takes awesome effects that are already on the market, but changes them to suit his needs. The falling polo for instance, is the same as the falling coin at the end of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWmtn6UYhA0

I think rather than looking for Calen's methods, perhaps look at the ways that you can change tricks that you already know to suit you, or how could methods that are used for other things apply to different tricks. That's the best thing that you could take from Calen's work - It's awesome inspiration!!

Thank you all for your responses, and thank you, Christopher for your feedback.

@Chris: Thanks also for posting that link. Now I know of your site, and I plan to buy your PK handbook. :) Also, I do agree with what you said, but still.. I'm a bit too in love with PK/TK effects to give this up until I find out how it's done.
