Hey guys. My question is what do you guys use (as a case of sorts) to hold your unopened (sometimes rare) decks? I found an old spanish cedar cigar box (Don Diego Playboys) that holds 16 decks perfectly. Plus the fact that Spanish Cedar protects cigars from some elements, adds a little piece of mind for me and cards. What do you guys/gals use?

The main thing you have to do to protect cards is keep them from excessive heat and humidity.
I keep mine in a brief case that closes tightly and I always keep some of the silica desiccants with the decks.

Last year I found an unopened deck of bikes in my attic that must have been there for 2 years and every card was warped, really warped!

i always used, well, just my table. i always left the decks lying around because i only had like 2-4 at a time, but since it's way cheaper to buy alot at once, i'm gonna do that and i'll put the cards in a drawer with something that takes the humidity out of the air, but i haven't done my research on that.
by the way i once heard it's good to keep your cards in the fridge, but believe me, it's not. at least i had to throw away the deck after a night in the fridge. (man, how stupid am i to believe it's a good idea to store playing cards in the fridge!?)
the point is, keep your cards from humidity/moisture and heat.

I use an old shoebox, it works or me, maybe if I had rarer decks, I'd use something a little more secure...

I have 30 decks stacked on my desk, but i should get a shoebox that sounds like a good idea

I bought a 9 pack box of Regular bikes and keep all my custom decks and gaff decks in there and just mess around with the regular bikes. That's what I like to do.

i keep all of my magic stuff in cigar boxes, i find that 8 decks fit perfect in a box of Rocky Patels...thats were i keep the good stuff...i got a couple of those boxes!

I have a little tin that I put them in, and then I put the tin in a drawer.
I do this with most decks.

i keep mine in an old breifcase i found they fit perfectly it has pockets which i place gaffs and gimmicks in its perfect. fits about 40 decks all up

I use a leather box with a spade on the front of it. It holds about 30-40 decks quite well. I also throw in a few Sillica Gel packets to keep the humidity out.

Where did you get that leather box? BTW, Have you guys seen Bicycle's Mega Masters Poker Set? It's pretty nice.. thought I'd share.. thinking of getting it for a keepsake

one to gut and hold my magic stuff in for shows. THe other for the poker.

And i might have to put a false cover in that so i can open it and be like "crap empty. *Close and open aain* Ah there we go"

i keep mine in a lockable fireproof document box.

i don't have a very extensive collection yet, of rare cards, but i keep one of every type i get, will add a deck of guardians soon.
and i'm looking for a black ghost deck, and some jerry's nuggets.

When I pick up a "collectable" deck I also get a small, wooden box, usually felt lined and either intricately carved or inlayed to store them in. So, my collection is stored in little wooden boxes.
