Card Spring Trouble

I have been practicing and getting pretty good (I think) but the problem I have is that the last card will not come out of my hand. I don't know if it is because I have bad form or that my thumbs are too short of what... But that last card does not want to leave my hand.

Do you let up on the pressure from the spring? If that is the case, you put more pressure on the cards gradually as the deck gets smaller.
