Alfie:

I think it is great that you developed this effect on your own. It shows you are thinking about how to use the slights you know to do something that amazes your spectators. It also shows that you have also learned one of the most essential lessons of magic -- the slights behind an effect don't need to be difficult for the effect to be amazing. I like the use of the blank face card.

That being said, the card to pocket / wallet / shoe has been frequently done in various forms, including handlings that can be done with a signed card. A book that has a lot of those types effects would be Hugard and Braue's Expert Card Technique.

Based on the fact that there are a lot other handlings of the same effect out there and the fact that your method will be apparent to most experienced magicians (the downside of it being easy to perform), it probably doesn't make sense to "release it."

However, the ability to "release" an effect isn't important... its the reactions. So keep performing it and keep getting great reactions.

I've been doing something like this for months, and months now, but with the card signed, and no palming needed either.

I like the idea. Can I use it? No point selling it as a download, no one would buy it. I think you just came up with a concept, not an effect. I'll probably do it the same method as you, but others might not. Selling a concept as a download is kinda pointless because they can see the concept from the demo... :D

If anyone is interested, I'll be more than happy to share my version of this concept that I've been doing for months, and months now. Just PM me.

I realy like this kind of trick. As the simple switch effect with one card in the hand of the specator and 1 in yours then they switch places.

I just have a question, in your effect do you have to see the card they said stop on it? Cause I think you use the DL from the tivo 2.0 trick to do the effect
