Hi, this may seem like a wierd question to ask, but I got F***ing Coins by Philippe Bougard and Clement Kertenne and they use copper coins in a lot of tricks and I was wondering if there was any way to change a Kennedy half dollar to a coppery or gold color. I know bleach turns silver coins black, but is there anything like that for copper coloring?

Basic science from elementary school. Or at least it was in the 80's when I was in elementary school.

Thanks Krab, that is just what I was looking for. We never got to do chemistry things like that in my elementary school.
Anyway, since you seem to know about this stuff I have one more question for you if you don't mind.
Do you know if the copper plating can be rubbed off with steel wool or something of the sort much like used to get the black color off of coins when giving the aged appearance? If not, is there any other thing I could do to just give one side of the coin the copper plating?
