The product description says the Bicycle rider back decks in the classic box are 808s made just outside Cincinnati Ohio. So are these decks unopened pre-kentucky decks or are they exactly the same as the 'Classic 807' decks that Bicycle sells? The Bicycle website says their 807s have the old box design but are the same cards as the standard decks made in Kentucky.

Hello!

We sell NEW (ie Kentucky, not Ohio) Classic Back (currently labeled as 807) Bicycle decks. This is the same design as the old 808 decks. We do not sell the current 808 design (with the "Standard" label on the front and the advertisement on the back) nor do we sell any old 808s from Ohio.

The quality of the current 807 decks is as high, if not higher, than the old 808 decks from Ohio. Some people relentlessly try to hunt down Ohio decks because they have heard that the newer Kentucky decks were poor quality. This may have been the case for a brief time while the USPCC sorted out new machinery at the new Kentucky factory, however this change was several years ago and since sorting out those issues the quality of decks coming from the USPCC has been extremely high.

Our supply of Ohio Bicycle decks would have been sold out within a few months of the factory change, as we rotate through our stock regularly, replacing old stock with new stock.

I hope this helps. Have a great week!

Ok. This was confusing because the product description says the cards are manufactured in Ohio and it doesn't say anything about them being identical to standard decks.

Hello!

The product description says "Made in the USA at a factory just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, these playing cards the industry standard." The USPCC factory did not move very far when it moved. Erlanger, Kentucky is less than 10 miles away from Cincinnati. Literally right across the river. We don't claim that these cards are made in Ohio. It is not relevant information for most customers so we don't specify more than what you see.

We don't sell the Bicycle "Standard" Rider Backs, so again that is not something that we mention here. What we sell is the latest version of the same deck you see in the photos. The USPCC sells the Rider Back deck (the exact same cards) in two different boxes, the "Standard" box (Labeled as the new 808) with an advertisement on the back and the word "Standard" on the front, and the "Classic" box (labeled as 807 on the bottom of the deck, but still 808 on the rest of the box) that is essentially the same as the box pictured on our site. Both of these boxes use identical cards, and they are the same cards that were used in the old Ohio decks.

In short? We sell Bicycle Rider Backs (the latest printings) in the "Classic" box (807s). All of the latest printings from the last several years are from Kentucky, including our own.

I hope this is more clear. Have a great week!
