classic card color change problem

All,

I've watched the color change video posted here (very slick btw). My problem is I'm having trouble picking up the change card once I've slid the top card up. Either my hands are to dry to get traction or my technique is wrong. Any suggestions to help my palm "grab" the change card?

TIA,

Larry

My guess is that you are not pushing the top card forward enough (there is nothing to contact with the base of your palm) or you hand is not positioned far enough up (the base of your palm is not over the exposed portion of the change card). The change card is supposed to be contacted by the base of your palm -- the highest point between your wrist and your palm.

Try doing the change with an exaggerated pushing of the top card up. Notice where your palm contacts the card. Adjust your hand position and the amount you push up the card so that you have the same point of contact with less of the change card exposed.

If you are having trouble with the dryness of your hand, then you can try some 'Sortquik' from an office supply store, hand lotion, or just water. Apply it to the area of your palm that contacts the card.
