Ok

so I recieved this PDF yesterday

and i must say wow.

I really love this effect.

Not only is it easy but it hits hard.

This is the first time i saw a method like this used, but what it says its true.

the effect is

The deck is shuffled, then the spectator deals off the top five cards.
they merely think of one of the five and return them to the deck.
now the magician starts to read there mind.
the first time the card is spoken is from the magicians lips.

Method: 5/5

As said its easy, and in my opinion only requires good acting.
http://www.deechristophermagic.com/products.cfm

that is a link to the performance, its the first trick he does on the video.
there are no peeks, none of that, you really do not see the card.

Teaching: 5/5

The teaching is awsome. D is a amazing teacher, and I can not wait to purchase his DVD Cinders when it comes out ( Burned and restored Card )
He really goes over everything in the PDF.

Conclusion:

I have many effects, but I do not use many at all, this one is going streight into my routine.
Buy it, you will not be disapointed.

Im out.

Peace.

Hey man, Just saw the review - Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you like the effect :)

For all those interested, I have found that though this was created independently bears some resemblance to Phantini's (Gene Grant) Psychorama routine. I was introduced to Grant's work by a mentalist friend only recently and it's Phenomenal, WAY ahead of it's time.

If you get the chance, check it out!

Ah ok thanks. Another question, if I get Proximity Effects, do I get the exact same thing in relation to Cold or is it at all different?
This is definitely on my shopping list now btw.

I also have the Cold ebook... great thinking behind it. Of course, not new at all in premise or method but Dee provides some excellent subtleties and additions to a classic. This will take practice, not technically but verbally... the whole effect is based off of special and very clever cold-reading style convincers (hence the name "Cold") and it will take lots of practice for the scripting to appear natural, subtle, and unsuspicious. Overall, a great little manuscript, very detailed and well thought out. Great job Dee!!!

Sounds similar to Sankey's Choice (I believe that is what it is called; taught in 20 years of magic.)

That effect is where the spectator takes five cards, remembers one, shuffles and returns all 5 to the deck and there card is told to them.
