The Effect
A spectactor feels your pulse, it begins to slow, and slow and eventually...stop...they feel your death...the life being drained out of you...slowly but surely they feel your pulse coming back and you wake up...
The Performances
There are two performances, one where Wayne performs at a Christmas party he was hired at. At the beggining of the party he mentions to the host of the party that he might try something he hasn't done before. (Obviously the effect, Control) He mentioned that it might be dangerous, not to his guests in anyway though. Throughout the night of the party, Wayne and Dana let the tension and the idea about this new thing he's going to try, grow and build. Eventually he performed Control as a grand finale for the night letting the tension and the idea rise to a crescendo making a HUGE effect on the audience. Even an hour and a half later they're still talking about the effect and freaking out.
The other performance is in Stigmata's bonus section if I remember correctly. Wayne is out at the park and he does Control for two girls where he talks about his past performances and also talks about meditation and how he can stop his pulse if he relaxes. And once again they feel his pulse slow and stop and come back.
The Method
The method is absolutely ingenious. Just like all the effects by Wayne before. Such as Indecent and Stigmata. This can be performed at absolutely anywhere and anytime with-out any gimmicks or set-ups. Completly impromptu.
Teaching
The teaching is very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Everything is taught very well and is very easy to under-stand and follow. Wayne teaches the effect along with Daniel Garcia who's hilarious.
Bonus
There's a bonus effect by Daniel Garcia which instead of letting the spectator feel your pulse stop they hear your heart-beat stop in your chest. It's a great convincer for Control and it's almost like a added effect to help with Control if spectators want to see it again. Guess whos back? The same Randall from Stigmata who got his secrect number figured out by Wayne. This time around Wayne teaches Randall how to do Control and then Randall goes out into the streets and tries to perform for a few spectators and it actually adds to things you might learn because of the mistakes he makes it helps to add to your own performance. The outtakes and the mysterious attack on Daneil Garcia is absolutely hilarious!
