Hey guys.

Yes, I remember learning how to stop and start your pulse. You don't actually stop your pulse, but to the spectator, it is very real! I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon.

It is sort of an old trick, and I only learnt it recently. Where did you see control though?

The pulse stop dates back very very far. A simple version of the effect is taught in many books.

Luke Jermay has a pulse stop where he stops his pulse, and someone elses pulse.

There are ways to stop your pulse in magic, very cheap and sometimes effective ways. I'm sure whatever Wayne is doing is going to be very simple yet ingenious like most of his work. That's what I love about Wayne.

well, i'm not too sure about control, i haven't heard anything about what it was going to be before i read this here, but i hope it will be more than a pulse stopping routine. i have the dvd where luke jermay teaches his pulse stopping routine, but i never tried it because it doesn't really suit my style, but it sure looks amazing, i also saw derren brown perform it on his live show "something wicked this way comes" and he used it combined with another effect where he walked over glass, believe me, that routine was the killer! his pattern was like he sat down on a chair, asked for a volunteer (the volunteer just happened to be a nurse), asked the volunteer to measure his pulse and tap the mic whenever she feels the pulse, and he further explained he has to put himself in trance to be able to walk over the glass. it was amazing, he put a plastic bag over his head, made a very dizzy, sleepy look and the volunteer kept hitting the mic slower and slower until she stopped. then he walked over the glass. afterwards he took his seat again and he started his pulse and it slowly became faster until it was normal again.
so if you already know how to slow down/stop your pulse, now you know how you could use it. ;-)
by the way, if anyone feels like telling me how to hammer a nail up your nose, don't hesitate, just drop me a quick pm.
