Creative Magicians: Are you next?

Hello magic community! Have ay of you created the "killer effect?" the effect that leaves the spectator screaming in their own skidmarked underpants?
Just Ideas Matter in this forum post. you dont need, to but it would be cool to hear what you all have come up with magic wise. I've invented a REALLY REALLY COOl torn and restored card trick called Time
Here's the description: a spectator signs a randomly selected card.
The Card is ripped then burned then the ashes are crumbled in the wind.
you reach out with empty hands in mid air saying you will go back to when the card was burned, Ashes then appear in you closed hands. Then you say you will go to when it was ripped, close your fist on the ashes and they turn into ripped pieces of the same card!
Now you rubb the ripped pieces in you hand and they slowly visually piece back into their signed card.
Tyhat was just an example, just let me know if you have a cool idea PM me and i'll invent it for you.

I personally think that an inventing service is a terrible idea. One must invent an effect themselves or their creativity will never broaden or flourish. Offering services to create effects will only hinder a magician's creativity. Also, how do you know what you are creating is indeed an original method? The person who you created it for might end up having a stolen effect on their hands.

i just want too help in the ways of inventing, and i have never heard anywhere that that trick was invented. i hope it isnt

I have invented a 'move' that I believe is original and completely astonishing! In all honesty, i'd much rather spread the word myself rather than explain it to someone else to take the credit.

Hey Brett, glad to see you on the forums (David from Sorcerer's here).

I completely agree with the above statement, it be retarded for people to share their ideas with someone who they have never met before, whose real name they do not know, and who they know absolutely nothing about. Also, your method might not even be original upon creation...I'm currently awaiting permission from a member of another magic forum to repost his article upon the creation of effects as I've started to see a number of "OMG, check out my new and original effect that I created last night." threads on here, meaning that absolutely no time what-so-ever was put into researching whether or not the method is original or not. I hate to be a "buzzkill", but that just had to be said.

On a more positive not, it's good to see that you want to help the magic community out, but this is definitely not the road to go by.

Hmm...can't say I have anything "revolutionary".......

But, I do have quite a few semi-original effects that are true workers coming straight from my restaurant/strolling material. Also, after checking with other magicians that are way more knowledgeable than myself, I have a color-changing 2 card transpo that is pretty different from anything out there. I've been doing that for the past few months at Red Robin.

But...I don't have names for anything. I just do the dang trick for cryin' out loud! LOL! In a few months, I might release a free download or something, or some free notes. I've got a few copies of said effects, but only 1 other person than myself has seen it/performs it.

I have absolutely no origianl effects. I just haven't reached that stage in my magic "career" where I know enough about the art, and have been doing it long enough to get those creative juices flowing. I wish I had material that I could call my own, but I just don't...
