Hey guys,
i think that is my first post here, i really dont remember well.
anyway
I was the other night in the mac surfing the web, watching youtube and i watch the english laundary videos by dan and dave buck.
There were amazing but something got my attention, The Spring.
in both videos you can see that the spring that they do is not like a normal spring, it goes kind of horizontally.
Here you can watch it:

After watching the videos and looking many sources for springs i finally got something.
Is an approximation of the buck brothers spring.
Here is the key points:
1_ Be sure to spring from the thumb, and place your thumb at the inner end corner, not at the middle of the short side. This make your spring smoother and when you spring you have more control over the cards.
2_ Try to spring deep in the hand. Dont spring from the fingertips, use your second phalanges of your front fingers, for the thumb use the fingertip. For the front fingers put the deck between the Intermediate and Proxmimal Phalanges. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scheme_human_hand_bones-en.svg) Reference for the hand Phalanges.
3_ The position of the fingers is like this, ( i will describe each finger):
First Finger- Goes at the front in the corner of the front side of the deck.
Second Finger- Goes at the middle of the front side of the deck.
Third Finger- Goes at the opposite corner of the First Finger.
Pinky (IMPORTANT)- This is the principal difference of a normal spring, this one goes at the side of the deck close to the Third Finger, use the second phalange of your pinky to contact the deck. Try different pressures from the pinky, this will determine how horizontally is your spring.
Well, this is the most important aspect of the Spring.
Some tips, If when you spring the cards get stucked with your fingers is because the amount of pressure. when i first start to do this spring i couldnt spring the cards well from one hand to the other one because it was getting stucked by my pinky and third finger.
If you dont know how to spring
Here is a Tutorial For the Spring by The Virts.

This one is pretty good. Try to do a smooth spring before learning this spring.
I will consider to do a video for this thread, for you guys for having a way better understatement of the spring.
I hope you practise and use it.
Thanks
