There is a writers strike going on in showbiz because the writers aren't getting compensated for the episodes aired on the station's websites.

Because the entire Writer's Guild of America has gone on strike (so basically that's every TV writer in the nation). Bad news for prime-time and late-night TV shows.

As for whats up with the re-runs...ever since the Writers Guild of America went on strike, they've been running re-runs of everything. And it'll continue for quite some time too...

The writers strike has made me miss a bunch of Heroes this season, and might cost me some episodes of Scrubs.

A show such as Heroes usually has around 20 episodes per season, this "Volume" only had 11.
last year, heroes took a break from the season in december, continued about a month later.. they're doing the same this year.. i remember last year they billed the "last episode of the year" but not the season.
