I'm brand new to theory11, so I'll start off by introducing myself, Im Noah Kirschbaum. I'm 14 and I have been into magic for about a year.

I have just been using decks of Bikes lately for my flourishes, but I would like to find something better. Right now a deck of Bikes last me like a day or two, its really getting annoying. For now I was wondering if there are any good decks I could find at a local Walmart or Walgreens or something (I dont live in a very big town).

Thanks for any information you guys give me,
-Noah Kirschbaum-

(Edit) - I actually picked up a couple of decks of Bees, they are working great sofar. Ill have to see if they can stand the test of time :) I was at walgreens today, and I saw a deck of the old Studs, I was very excited till I picked up the deck and it was opened and mutilated >.< I was very angry. The Walgreens near me had a ton of the new Studs, Bikes (obviously), and Bees.

If anyone else has a suggestion feal free to keep commenting.

Thanks again,
-Noah Kirschbaum-

Studs are from Walgreens. Some Walmarts carry Guardians.

Cards should last you a long time. Usually a deck of Bikes lasts me a week and I'm ready for a new deck. Others use them even longer than a week. (Bikes aren't nearly as cheap outside the US. People in the US take them for granted.:p)

Anyway, believe it or not, Bikes are actually my favorite deck. Other decks are good, but Bikes are genuinely my favorite deck. If you want a deck that will last you forever, get Eco Bikes. No joke, my friend gave me a pack that was under heavy use for 8 months straight. (Not a typo. Months. Not weeks. Months.) I could fan better with that Eco deck than I could with a new deck of Bikes. It still fans like new and it has been in my possession now for probably around a month and a half. So figure about 9.5 months. Jeez I love Ecos. I can only imagine what a new pack feels like....

EDIT: Studs are also full of win. They are Walgreens brand cards so look for them there. For a while I never liked them. I thought the back design colors looked really dull and boring. After using them for a while though, they grew on me a lot. Also, they are only $2. Not bad. ;)

I think that Guardians last forever. Been using my pack of guardians for over a year now. Every video you see has me with my lone pack of guardians. Just one, plus I practice with it. Still feels like new.

IF you don't like buying online though, Casino decks are great. You can find them either online or in Dollar Stores or Walgreens sometimes. It is hit or miss, really, whether a store will have them.

Surprisingly often however, you can find a bunch of retired casino decks. I found Ellis Island cards, John Ascuaga's Nuggets, Las Vegas Tropicanas, Harras, all different packs.

Plus they are always a dollar! Check for them occasionally.

Hope that helps!

As a poster above me said, Guardians do last for a very long time, but I'm not a fan of the finish. I really don't like the thick stock and finish. I continue to wonder why magic companies think thicker is better when the majority of people I see say thinner is better than thicker.:p Love the look of them though. I recommend picking up a few at some point just to see how they look. They are more than usable as well. It's just that when I practice, I don't like the way they feel as much as most other decks I use.
