Different types of Aviators

Hey guys. I am a big fan of the Aviators brand. I have bought decks from different areas (New York, New Jersey) and I have realized a distinct difference from a couple of my decks. Not only are the bar codes on the boxes are a bit different, one of the boxes have a bigger flap than the other.

The boxes aren't the only things that are different. The decks themselves feel different as well. The one with the larger flap feel stiffer and fan better and the other one is softer and fans...not as well.

Just wondering if anyone realized this.

P.S: Posted up some pictures.

;D

The ones with larger flaps are typically better cards on any brand of playing cards. Whether they are older or younger, Q1 or Q2... I have no clue, thought I'd place my bets on Q1 playing cards.

I only got two brands of playing cards that uses a large flap on the box, and those are Fourniers and Protea decks. I doubt that it indicates the quality of the cards... but hey, you never know ;p

I have a bicycle deck from 2003ish and it has a bigger flap on it then new bikes. Maybe the Aviators are just old?
