Disappearing bird in the hand!

Wow! I've just watched a Facebook magician rick lax perform a trick where he has a bird in his hand one moment and the next it's gone! (A toy bird) Has anyone seen this before? Would anyone be able to name this trick or point me in the right direction to research it? Here's a link to the video.
