I was on The Magic Cafe and I saw an add on there for this new effect called Wounded. Basically you just start you bleed from your eyes then a huge gash appears on your palm. I do not consider this entertainment at all this is something you would use to start a cult, seriously. If some dude every did this to me I wouldn't applaud and say "oh, cool" Id stab him instantly fear that hes the anti christ

Someone earlier today made a thread about Wounded as well. There are several threads on it. Try to use the search bar next time. 
However, some people will in fact use this for different things. You just have to be careful with how you use it.

It all comes down to motivation and audience. Shock magic exists because there are audiences who want to see it.
