If you live in Eugene, Portland, Spokane, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, or Winnipeg - you're officially in
X-elent Lecture Series territory.

Like no other lecture circuit in the world, X-elent Lecture Series is specifically designed to bring the best magic instruction available in the industry to our region. With four season behind us, we've had some of the most impressive lectures you could imagine: Greg Frewin, Mathieu Bich, Banachek, Bob Sheets, Danny Cole, Silly Billy, Patrick Page, Aaron Fisher, Sal Piacente, Eric Evans, Nathan Kranzo, Allan Ackerman, and the list continues.

If you haven't heard already, X-elent Lecture Series is not about making a profit. Its focus is to improve the community overall, as well as making sure the artists are taken care of better than anywhere else in the world.

Lecturers inspire our community to improve. Having stability in a region, with a consistent influx of great talent, only helps strengthen the art of magic.

The key to improving your magic exponentially is to familiarize yourself with concepts and techniques that are more powerful than the ones you are already acquainted with.

Be there or miss out!

Holy crap! this is awesome!

I will definitely be at the seattle, WA one. I would like the chance to meet up with some of the area magicians and see if any of them are into flourishing.

I live in Kent just south of seattle, theres a couple other magicians/flourishers around ehre, I met up with one at pikes place market magic shop (freyparametric) and I think some more (jordan garret or something like that is on whidbey island) plus some decknique homeyz are from this area as well (spencer, and , well, richard WUZ but now hes back in canada, eh?) where you from blindside? me and frey have been meeting up and busting cards a bit, we also did some street magic at northgate mall weekend before last.

to Lee Asher: you might want to edit your post a bit, I just emailed the "seattle" contact and the lecture series is actually not in seattle it's in EVERETT. which is a fair bit north of seattle... especially when you already live a fair bit south of it ;)

I would like some info about what this is exactly to help make a decision as to if its worth it to drive forever.

Hey Guys,

First off -- this is not me lecturing on tour. This is the X-elent Lecture Series. Anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest has the ability to see some of the greatest talent on circuit this year.

Secondly, who is Ice McDonald?

Ice McDonald is a magician from Los Angeles with sold out performances at venues from The Magic Castle in Hollywood, Magic Island of Houston, the James Crown Theatre in Canada, to The Orpheum Theatre in New Orleans. They ALL testify to the power and passion of ICE's delivery. More than just his love for Magic leads ICE to share his gift. His sheer mastery of illusion has astonished audiences from magic clubs, casino showrooms, political events, conventions, and seminars. He is taking time out of his hectic schedule to spend some quality time on the X-elent Lecture Series circuit.

Ice's plan is simple -- supply information that will encourage you, inspire you, and help to take your magic to the next dimension. Please be prepared to re-position yourself for success.

Again for more information, please get in touch with the contacts listed on the first page.

Be there or miss out.

well it is still somewhat shrouded in mystery for me. I wish i knew what it was about not just " it is information that will take your magic to the next dimension! "

one of the things ive learned to be wary of is hype that uses mystery as an attraction device... for example the huge "what is theory 11" thing was a big let down for most of us. ditto for the first edition guardians the deck that "never has such attention to detail been manifested through a deck of cards" etc etc etc. I'm sure it'll be awesome advice but I would at least be interested in an outline, or whatever... i'm not a professional magician so if it's advice for the working magician, i'll have wasted 40 bucks worth of gas. however if it's like teaching some cool effects, then I would like to go.
