With Cube 3 you’re going to learn some insane no gaff puzzle cube tricks like instant solves, in the bag solves, as well as his strategies for tackling a 3x3 puzzle cube. My first impression upon opening Cube 3 is holy crap. The video is on a USB drive! I can literally put this thing on my key ring, take it with me anywhere, plug it into my tablet and practice. At the gym, at the doctor’s office, on the bus, at work (just don’t tell my boss!) Anywhere! That is freaking awesome. Of course that was quickly followed by being blown away at how smooth this cube handled in my hands. This thing moves like butter. A little flick is all I need to send a side spinning around so having no real experience working with a puzzle cube, let me tell you, out of the box this thing made me feel like a boss. Not only does this thing move around quickly but it’s also completely silent. So people aren’t going to hear you do any magical monkey business with this thing while you’re performing.
Let me go ahead and say this now. This isn’t an easy effect to master. This isn’t an auto solving cube. There isn’t a gimmick. You’re actually going to have to learn to solve a puzzle cube before you can start to learn the routines Steven teaches in the second video. If you’re an experienced puzzle cube solver then you may find it beneficial to just skip to the second video but if you’re like me you’re going to need to sit down and work with this cube daily to just get to the point where you can solve it on your own. That in itself, frankly, is impressive. Since solving the cube involves a lot of mathematical algorithms Steve has included a couple PDF cheat sheet files for you to print out and keep handy while you practice. These files have some normal and advanced solving algorithms to help you learn. He promises with a couple weeks of dedicated practice sooner or later everything will become muscle memory and it’ll get easier.
The tricks done with the cube look like magic. You look like you’re just waving your hand over the cube, even though you’re doing a lot of magical monkey business in the back ground, and it appears to practically solve itself. Toss it over your shoulder it comes up solved. Throw it into a bag, it comes out solved. Wave your hand over it, it comes out solved. This is going to fry people because these puzzle cubes should be that easy to work. Yet you will have a mastery over your cube unparalleled by anything else anyone has ever seen.
Overall this is an ambitious trick. Not because it has hard to learn sleight of hand, but because learning to master the cube is only the first step to mastering the magic with the cube. It’s doable, but damn is it a challenge. Mastering the routines Steven teaches is a lot like mastering the Trick That Can’t Be Explained. Once mastered you’ll have a powerful close up or stage piece that you can pack small and take anywhere. It will become a reputation maker but it will only be available to those who seriously want to put the time into learning it. Sadly that won’t be everyone. So if you’re looking for a quick trick to amaze your beer drinking buddies with then this isn’t for you. If you want to be challenged, if you want to dedicate yourself to a daily discipline to learn the cube so you end up with a mastery that will be shared with a small few then Cube 3 is THE undisputed source to go to. This is one of those products that shouldn’t have been released on the open market. The information in it is too good to be wasted on the casually interested.
