Okay for starters I want to say, BUY THIS! This effect is perfect for every situation and it's so clever. Also this is my first review so don't be hating on it.
Contents:
DVD and all the materials needed to make the gimmick.
DVD:
The DVD is well produced by theory11. The menu has a chapter selection so you go back to different parts of the construction with ease. The DVD also has the bonus teaching of the formal presentation of Dresscode called Dressycode (creative name right?)
Teaching:
The teaching on the DVD is fantastic. Calen breaks down each step and goes slow to make sure you know what to do. He also goes into detail about small subtleties and a couple routines that you can use. And he also talks about some things that can help you from flashing the gimmick. Calen also has live performances of each routine.
Gimmick:
The gimmick is very easy to make. In the DVD it comes with everything you need to make it. The only con is that you have to destroy one shirt but it's okay because it's worth it. Also while wearing the gimmick I realized after two days of using it I was wearing it wrong but I guess it didn't make that much of a difference.
Initial Thoughts:
When I opened the DVD and found the materials I was thought "I got ripped off". I didn't really understand how the materials could actually be used in the effect. Again this was before I watched the DVD.
Thoughts:
If you watched the demo of the trick and liked it then get it because you won't regret it. It's great for two reasons:
1. You don't need any other things like decks, coins, or any funky props. It's just you and the clothes on your back.
2. It's great anywhere, anytime.
I do have to say that nobody can be directly in front of you when you do the change, they have to be behind your back or slightly at the side. Also it's great for kids in school. I perform this one time at school during lunch and then the next thing I knew I'm in front of the whole cafeteria showing dresscode and got the best reactions.
Final Thoughts:
The DVD is well worth the $30 dollars. It's a great opening for your show and will get a kick out of your audience. Calen Morelli is one of the most creative people in magic and this effect really shows it.
Score: 10/10
