Well, I know this effect has been out for a while, and I have owned this DVD for a while but I thought that now would be a good time to share my ideas about this trick. So let's begin. Shall we?
MY THOUGHTS BEFORE OWNING THE DVD
I first saw this effect when I had just started visiting this site periodically. I watched the Trailer for it and just thought "Wow." I didn't have the slightest idea how it was done. I mean you show the dollars fron and back there is no way they are double sided or anything. I watched the video over and over again and still coudn't figure it out. Finally I bought it...
THE EFFECT
You show five one dollar bills front and back. The spectator can clearly see that there are no double sided dollars or anything odd like that. The magician states: "I'll use my own money because you probably wouldn't trust me with yours." He then displays the money again. Suddenly he says "Watch carefully." And he snaps his fingers and all the one dollar bills become Five dollar bills, or ten dollar bills, or 50 dollar bills, or even 100 dollar bills! One of these is handed out to be examined.
PERFORMANCE SECTION OF DVD
Basically I believe that the whole performance section consists of only 2 performances. The first is the one that is in the trailer only on the DVD you see more of it. The second is one on one with you. That is basically it. I thought that this was enough. One street performance and one clear performance for me. It satisfied me enough. 9/10
TEACHING SECTION OF THE DVD
I think that this is probably one of the longest DVD's Theory11 sells. (Excluding the Trilogy.) Although this section is quite long it is very good because it goes into great detail on constructing the gimmick and how to perform this trick so you can hit the hardest. At some parts of this section you will have to rewind a couple of times just so you can double check that you are doing the correct steps. (One mistake and you have to make a whole new gimmick.)
The only downside for this section is that at times he doesn't talk to much and mainly just does the setup and when he does talk sometimes he mumbles. A bit tough to understand but if you pay attention you should have no problem.
Unfortunately, you will also have to ruin some money for this trick. The greater the value of your bills, the more cash you will lose for this effect. 6.5/10
WRAP UP SECTION OF DVD
All that really happens is that he shows you how to display the changed bills, allow one to be handed out, and how to clean up quickly without suspision. 7/10
WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE DVD
When your DVD arives in the mail all you get is the DVD. This is the worst part of the whole review. You will also need either a pen or pencil as well as some rubber cement. These are used to make the gimmick. You will also need some money. I forget how much, but you are going to ruin it.
Here, I wish Theory11 had made a gimmick that very closely resembles a US dollar and whatever because I don't want to ruin money and the gimmick does take a while to construct. 4/10
PROS AND CONS
PROS:
1: It hits hard
2: Fun to do
3: Performing the effect is esentially easy.
4: DVD is high quality
5: Teaching is good
CONS:
1: Take a long time to prepare gimmick
2: Ruins money
3: Teacher sometimes mumbles
4: Only one dollar can be inspected
5: People may steal the money when handed out.
FINAL THOUGHTS
At first tis DVD seemed like a great thing to have and I thought I would be ready to go with a little bit of practice. But after I watched it I realized my mistake. I made my gimmick and only performed once. All in all I think you might be better off with something else.
Final Score: 5.5/10
