So, I've acquired one of my favorite things ever, an Amazon gift card. Although I'm familiar with the importance and a lot of the material in Expert at the Card Table, I've never actually owned a copy of it. The first thing Ive noticed is that there are a lot of different editions of this book (makes sense), so my question is which to go with. Here are the two that seem most prevalent:

http://www.amazon.com/The-Expert-Ca...UTF8&colid=PO014JMMXXTG&coliid=I3I4397OUKT96L

http://www.amazon.com/The-Expert-Card-Table-Manipulation/dp/0486285979/ref=tmm_pap_title_0

I'm a little curious why the first is so much pricier. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Anything that's sub-titled "The Classic Treatise on Card Manipulation" is the Dover edition, so out of these two options go for the cheaper of the two. As you get deeper into studying Erdnase you may find that you want to get hold of one of the editions from Conjuring Arts, though, as they replicate the first edition. When other authors cite a particular page number, they'll be referencing the pagination of the first edition, which is different in the Dover one.
