You little stalker!
Well I've been exploring other fields of magic lately and i came across this dvd from Richard Sanders. So i watched the trailer and thought that this was exactly what i was looking for. Smooth, visual, gimmick-less rope magic. But i'm not gonna buy it unless i know I'll be able to do the effects in there. So are the routines hard? Is this dvd easy to learn from? How practical are the sleights? Is it worth its price? Thanks!

I found most of the moves quite easy to learn. There's one move that's slightly harder than the rest to learn, but he gives you an easy alternative to that move. So, in essence, almost anyone could learn the routines (he gives more than one routine, although they're essentially the same with a few minor alterations).

So, the sleights/moves are easy to learn, the DVD is easy to learn from (he goes over the sleights/moves several times, from different angles, with full explanation--he leaves NOTHING out), the routines aren't hard (maybe difficult to remember for some, since it's not a 2 move routine, heh--but no, the routines are not that difficult to do or remember), and the sleights are very practical (every move has a reason for being done as they are, and they're well hidden within the routine).

This is definitely one of my favourite routines (outside of cards and mentalism), so I'd highly recommend it. Definitely worth the price! :)

Thanks for the input. One question. Is the one slightly harder move Static Cling? Cuz that look pretty knacky to me.

To be honest, I thought that the whole DVD was easy to learn. I went from doing NO rope magic to having a "hyper-visual, eye-popping" routine ready for my walkaround show in two weeks. I practiced everyday but this rope stuff is so much easier than it looks. This DVD goes into the top 5 magic materials (books, PDFs, DVD, IDs) that I have ever brought. I honestly can't talk highly enough about this product. Plus you also get the bonus ring on rope routine which is very very awesome.

I can assure that it is very wicked to watch people freak out when you pull the ends off the rope and THROW them back on so that they melt and the ends are restored. Best.Rope.DVD.Ever

'Nuff said

P.S Static cling is not really hard at all
