Finally!! haha.
Nice vid, you already have heard my input on the color change, but i think the pass looked better because of the quality of the webcam. Since it was lagged the pass seemed less obvious, but of course in real time its still really solid. Nice to see you on the net.

Your boy,
Fez

Ok :).

The pass is decent and the winter change is decent too, just work on the way you handle doublelifts because they are a bit obvious ;).

Other than that good work :).

yeah ive always had trouble with that, ive been trying alot of different things lately

Well, for one, you could tilt your hand up when doing a thumb count, that way the deck itself with cover the action of you getting a double.

Also, if you can learn the pinky count, learn it, and learn it well ;)

Considering the technique you are using I would highly suggest looking into the winter change. You may even end up dropping this idea all together and using that.

Something that kinda of looked odd was the flaring your thumb while palming the card. I wouldn't keep a palmed card that much in the frame of view. What I mean is palm the card move forward to show the jack as you are dropping the dirty hand out of frame. All the while keeping that thumb relaxed.

Does that make any sense at all?

I'm not a pass expert by any means, I just do it when I'm bored, so that pass looked fine. However I am of the belief that the audience really shouldn't be looking at the deck while you do the pass.

Hope that helps.

thats a great tip, i would never have noticed the thumb thing.
i will look into the winter change.

as far as the pass goes, i even say this in the video i just made. I usually do the pass while im talking to them, use some misdirection

My comment about the misdirection wasn't fully explained my fault. What I was trying to say was that sometimes it's hard to judge a pass on a stand alone basis. What i mean to say is i think part of judging a pass is the timing of the pass. That's just for me anyways.

Second video looks good though. I would definitely work that strike as it looked like you did that one the best to me.

The video was decent, but what you need to work on is the double lifts. The thumb count is perfect idea for catching a break, but for me, I use the pinky count whenever I have an opportunity. Dave Buck gives out a great method and tips and is stated below.

Pinky Count tips:

It helps if the deck is perfectly square and slightly beveled away from your fingers. Your thumb and pinky should have a firm grip on the deck. The thumb should be on top, but just at the edge of the outer left corner of the deck. The pinky is secured on the side of the deck, pushing inward as well as pulling down (bridging the cards slightly). Now, in the same manner as riffling the deck with the thumb, your pinky is going to riffle the deck. However, don't riffle quickly as you normally do with the thumb, riffle slowly until one card springs off the very tip of the pinky, and then do it again and again until the desired amount of cards has been riffled. Now secure a little finger break by simply relaxing the grip.

That's the basic count. I hope it was clear and makes more sense now for those of you who might of had trouble before.

Cheers,
Dave Buck

Now, the pinky count is very hard to master especially when it comes to starting it. Take your time slowly and don't get frustrated if you didn't get it for the first time.
