I think if you created a flourish and you want to post a tut i think that is perfectly fine. I'm not sure about a copyrighted tut becasue it is someone else's work. However, IMO a tut for a published effect is worse than a tut for a flourish because flourishes are usually taught on DVDs with many other flourishes. Also most people can't learn to well from a crappy youtube flourish tutorial anyway...

Well, I believe it's perfectly fine, unless there's no copyright on the product. Most people tend to like original flourishes. It's about giving back to the community. I believe flourishing is a skill, unlike (or more difficult) than magic. They have tutorials for other skills (ex: guitar, boarding, juggling, and a bunch of other "how to"s), what makes flourishing any different...?

For sybils anyway - I find that many of the tutorials on the internet are better for making my own cuts rather than just copying them. Unless it's especially cool.

And copyrights: personally, I think that tutorials are fine for must-know flourishes, like the classic fan, charlier cut, etc. However, copyrighted creations, such as Jackson 5 or Pandora, should remain copyrighted.
