Haunted Deck V2 (Help me make this a great trick)

Hey guys,
So I happened to stumbled upon something that I think would be a great magic effect
if used properly. So basically a pack of cards begins to fan itself out with
just one finger! This can be done in the spectators hands and has multiple uses.
Here is a video of a brief demonstration I made,

This technique can be added to your Pk/haunted Routine
I eventually want to sell this but I want your advice on how
to make this better or what you do not like.

I personally think if the fan were a little bit neater it would be more appealing, again the concept is great but it looks a tad bit uncontrollable at the moment due to the mechanics of it however with a little work it could be a great effect as this is a fine idea.

The first thing you need is something to make it make sense.

If you look at the logic of what you're doing, there's no rhyme or reason to it currently. You have a card selected, returned to the deck. Then half the deck is ribbon spread. Then the top few cards of the other half fan themselves out and the selection is in that fan. Why?

From a magician's point of view - This looks like you're trying to make sloppy thread work into a trick. Which is fine - but you have to refine it until you've actually got something worth doing here. I understand that you probably just haven't thought of a presentation yet as you've just stumbled onto this technique - but without a presentation there is no trick.

You could build this into something good but right now it just doesn't have it. Keep working!
