Hecklers. I cant stand them. Theres always someone in the audience who HAS to ruin the trick... Naturally after a performance people will try to figure out how the magic was done. However it's the people who TRY to ruin a trick while it's in progress that annoy me. For example when performing autocatch in school I placed the false card on the table before losing it into the deck... right before I was about to lose it I was then asked to show the card. and that was it the trick was ruined. If you deny a request it looks suspicous and most likely they'll flip it over anyways...I could care less about being accused of something after I finished an effect. I just hate being asked during the trick because it ruins the experience for me and the spectator(s). Any tips on how to shut some of these guys up would be appreciated.

Well the best thing to do is easy, don't perform for these type of persons. They obviously don't want to be impressed. I used to have the same kind of problem. Or u can always have them select a card, do a bluff pass, do a DL to show their card came on top, turn it back face down and hold the top card, ask them what their card was and show the different card.

(if none of the above seems to work, u can always punch them in the nose, kick them in the stomach and run ...... it feels really good ;))

lol thanks for the tips I'll stick with the not performing for them instead of pounding them though. Oh sorry I joined the forums like 3 days ago.

when people ask me if they can flip a card over or check the card in their hand again (when there not supposed too) i tell them "yeah hold on you can check it out in a second", then proceed withthe effect. dont let the audiance tell you what to do, its your show. your in control.

Remember you have the deck of cards and you control everything so control your audicence. You can ingore them or say this you show them the wrong card then say "Sorry I pick up the wrong card" then grab their card and lose it then control to the top again. But also you did something wrong thus the speactor ask you to see that card because something doesn't look right.

Also you can try the search button to find more vauble information.

That sounds like more like a average question not heckling. you just need to pratice and not give time for questions in your performance, you can lapse this time with presintation.
