Wow, people are liking magic now.:)

hey anthony, theres a thread that under this thread I think. Go there. A lot of the forum members posted theirt stuff their. So look.

And welcome.:)

A pleasure to meet you Anthony. If you are new to magic I would recomend picking up a bok or two as well as a few DVD's. I will give you some links for good DVD's and books:

Book: Mark Wilson's Complete Course In Magic: http://www.amazon.com/Mark-Wilsons-...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210544693&sr=1-1

Book: The Practical Encyclopedia of Magic: http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Enc...r_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210544879&sr=1-15

DVD: How to do Street Magic: http://www.ellusionist.com/product/...+to+do+street+magic&sortby=newArrivals&page=1

DVD: Crash Course in Cards 1: http://www.ellusionist.com/product/dvd+training/beginner/crash+course+in+cards+1.do

This should suffice for now. Remember... it's better to learn 1 or 2 tricks perfectly rather than know 505 tricks OK. so just start off with a couple and perfect them.

Anthony,

IMO, the links that others have posted aren't what you should be looking into. Instead, let me recommend a few products that will actually help you become a successful performer.

Strong Magic by Darwin Ortiz
Card College by Robert Giobbi

Please try and stay away from single-trick DVD's or anything produced by Ellusionist.

yea i wanna use cards :)

Good, you know what you like. I would recommend picking up Card College, but if you can't afford it, there are a couple other options.

Royal Road to Card Magic is an extremely helpful book, and it will take you from 0 to 60 very quickly. It will teach you all of the basic moves, sleights, terms, etc that you need to know.

In Theory 11's 1-on-1 section there are two videos from Aaron Fisher: Card Fundamentals Vol. 1 and Card Fundamentals Vol. 2. These are very helpful, and will teach you a few key sleights, such as the Double Lift and false shuffle.

Hope this helps! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

David
