Hello, first off let me introduce myself. My name is josh, im from western new york. While i am new to cardistry im not to magic. I have been practicing a little under a month and am looking for a little direction. I own the trilogy and dangerous and have worked on most of the flourishes within them although some of the trilogy flourishes are still beyond me. I continue to practice. i am not smooth or fast and i am working on that but thats not what my question is about. I am wondering what others think my next purchase should be. I intend to get the system eventually but besides that what do you guys think? Should i pick up XB1 or XB2? any suggestions besides that? to clarify i do like both dan and dave's style as well as daniel madisons but im looking for a whole range of idea's so i can look into them more and define my style a little bit more. thank you very much for your help and hopefully i will improve and become a decent flourisher to compare to some of the greats on this site.

you know who you are.

thanks again ~josh

just get the bible ....

Yep, get the good book from www.flourishman.com and it will teach you a mountain of material. Also recommend XB 1 and 2 for video demonstrations which should be easier to learn from especially if you are a n00b, theres alot of other performance tips and little nuggets of wisdom.

finally if you want something you can watch and just be blown away, get the Companion DVDs 1, 2, and 3 from flourishman.com, it's just hours and hours of XCM performance and variations that will trip you out.

If you do get the bible, which you should, definately get the companion dvds, it helps a whole helluva lot to see the actual things being done.

Personally I just jumped into the system. Technically the oly thing you will need for the system is the revolution cut. That and practice should be able to get you through the system except for a few of the flourishes on it that are a bit harder and use irregular grips such as madonna 3 which is similar to the madonna you have on the trilogy, but a little more involved.
