Help with paper for perfected center tear

i got richards osterlinds perfected center tear and i cant find the right paper index cards are too thick to tear and when they see me struggle to tear they think im reading through so i am wondering for all you who perform it can you tell me what type of paper you use ( the brand and size)

In Australia I use regular A4 paper, or sometimes even thinner exercise book paper.

It should not be too difficult to tear through 4 layers, so maybe try work on the technique of which you are tear the paper with. Try positioning your fingers close together when you tear and that should provide some leverage.

Using cardboard will be too difficult to begin with. Maybe until you built up some finger strength you can move up to using business cards etc.
