When I am not amazing people with my magic I also play a sport. This sport is Hockey. Needless to say that I will watch the NHL on TV. I thought I would share an interesting story with you about an NHL Player who does magic.
I do not recall what team he was on or what his name was due to the fact that it was almost 4 years ago. i learned about this when I started magic.
We'll call the player Joe.
Well joe and his NHL team were boarding the plane so they could fly to an away game. joe had been practing magic since he was 9 and was now in his mid-30's. The Hockey team borded the plane only to find out that ue to strong winds in their destination the flight would be delayed.
Joe was sitting with one of his fellow team mates and realized that he had a pack of card in his bag. He retrieved them and began to play with them. He decided that he would show his friend a trick. His teammate selected a card. A pen was borrowed from another player and his card was signed. Joe let the spectators shuffle it in. He then took the pack back and placed in the box which then went into his pocket.
Joe relaxed and closed his eyes as if trying to sleep. His friend then questioned, "That's all?" Joe simply looked at him and said, "look out the windo at the wing of the plane."
His friends looked out the window to see that the chosen card was under the window on the wing. Not only that but the mans signature was still visible. As the team freaked and quesioned how he did it joe just closed his eyes and said "It's called magic."
I am not lying this was in the newspaper and I was laughing so hard when I found it. I'll look for the article online and if I find it I will post a link here.
