I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
Hello everyone I have been doing 'magic' for 7 years now, even though I don't see myself as a magician or a mentalist. I come from hypnosis background, and I also studied mentalism thoroughly. I actually don't know anything about cards, coins, or anything that has to do with sleight of hand.
I was influenced by people like Aaron Alexander, Jerome Finley, Paul voodini, and Anthony jacquin. I don't do any kind of trickery.
My 'methods' are intuition, non verbal and verbal suggestions. If you are familiar with the three Aaron Alexander rules. They are:-
1, It feels right. This means the methods look and feel like real magic.
2, It works right. The demonstrations are consistent with the real methods used, and the performer's abilities with them.
3, It sits right. The book does not give false or patronizing explanations to the reader or to the eventual audience.
In my country, people don't know the meaning of the works like mentalism trance or hypnosis. I just call what I do magic, and people accept it.
In my act, I don't use any props not because props are bad, but because I can do many things without props it seems pointless.
I am happy to be part of this community.
