Hey Guys and Gals,

Ive been brainstorming with this effect im calling "Tattoo", which to my knowledge hasnt been released so please dont steal it off me lol jks, and ive been developing it so someday i can maybe release it and sell it but i was wondering if i could get some help with perfecting the end of the method. Anyway heres the effect.

Effect:

The deck is shuffled by either the Cardist or the spectator, after which the spectator selects a card. That card is then placed back and lost in the deck. The Cardist then shoots a card out of the deck and catches it on his forearm facedown within a flourish. He shows an empty/clean hand and then places it over the card and applies pressure. The Cardist then SLOWLY peels the card off his arm and the card is shown to be BLANK. The Cardist then shows his arm and the selected card is now “tattooed” on his/her arm !!!

Method:

I have the method down until the "tattoo" part, i was wondering if anyone had a method for that. I want it to sorta look like daniel madisons tattoo kinda ... I have a few theories but i was wondering if all of you had any input about it.

Anyway i hopefully want to develop it so much that it can be a freely selected card and can be signed, alas the signature will be on the forearm aswell. All feedback is appreciated and i hope you can help.

Cheers

i would say to take a look at Tagged by Rich Ferguson. In it is an effect that the effect you just described happens on the spectators hands!!
check it out

Yea
Tagged the tattoo appears on their hands
But he wants a visual
"Here is nothing, now there is"
sorta thing
So check out Ghost Ink.
The Blank card bit can easily be achieved through some sleight of hand.

I would say practice the technic and notice how the card had falling into your forearm and it's position. After that you can either get fake tatooes actual size and put it on before the trick and keep it concealed and you should be good .. Hope it helps

There are a lot of tattoo effects out there, but none that I know of do just that. Tattoo Joe quickly reveals and removes a preset picture, tagged puts the mark on a spectator long before they notice. I like the idea, good luck with it cant wait to see the finished product.

Do you know what a Tenkai Palm is? Because if you do, what you can do is you can have a double, the real card face up on top of the blank card. Then you show your empty hand and as you're turning the two cards face down on your arm do the Tenkai Palm switch so that it looks like you're laying the real card on your arm when in fact you're laying the blank card on your arm then you can ditch the real card on top of the deck as the spectator is pressing the blank card onto your arm and it ends clean.

Lol up until you said you dont know how to actually put the tatoo I almost believed you created a method for it.
You honestly didnt create a trick or a method.
Its just an idea.
And like they said above, there have been other ways of making a tatoo apear.
Your idea of this flourishy trick could work.with tatoo joe
If you showed the card.Rub it on your arm and the card is blank and the ink is on your hand(if joes method works this way)
but you didnt create a trick man.
