Here we go!

I'm in the works of making a children's show. I found a table I want to use that I have found in a camping website (because 90% of products that deal with packing props or performing in are extremely overpriced) but it recently occurred to me that I have never accounted for the height in which I should be performing on.

The table I want to buy is 28" high. It's not a very wide table, but it's enough to get one prop on there at a time and do a routine. Is 28" ideal for the height of a table for a children's show?

It depends on the children you're performing for. How old are they? Are the secrets behind the props going to be revealed if touched (as a teen, I know children will touch and feel about anything around them)? Is it a convertible height for you to sit/stand at? Hopefully I could spark some ideas.

It's for a children's hospital, don't could range between...I'm not sure, 4 to 17 is my best guess.

Kids are as big as linebackers these days, and I'm like this slender scarecrow looking thing.

Each child will come up and perform one trick each. I have ONE that has an angle issue, but it's not in the current set until I perfect it's 'workaround'.

The actual table is a heavy duty camping bag that has components to turn into a table; 28 inches is its final height.

And I believe they will be sitting until they come up. I have to also check out the hospital and how things would work. I just want to be prepared as use as little of their resources as I can. Also gives me more control--especially if they don't happen to have any tables that day

I have used a whole bunch of different tables for my magic. Really I'd just hope that it makes the magic easier to see. I think that even a small table would help that.
