Well we all know the classic effect where the card flips upside down.
How about you have someone select a card *Make sure the DB is in the middle of the deck.*

Fan the deck.

So people can all see the cards face down.

Do some sort of peek. Or just force a card in the beginning of the effect.

Do some patter Snap your fingers.

Flip the cards over and fan face up for all to see one card flipped over..
And well just Expierement.

=p use your imagination.

You can use it as far as your mind can imagine. I've used mine for an impromptu invisible deck and transpos so far.

I'm sure that the encyclopedia of card tricks has a whole section on effects using a double backer...

I have seen this performed, but I do not know what its called:

You have a spectator select a card, and have the back signed, and then do the same to another spectator, and you can fuse the two signed backs into one card with the double backer.

Cheers,

Well I just found out yesterday that this comes out with a Double-Backer which is awesome. Since I don't really know many double-backer tricks this will give me an opportunity to learn. Hopefully I get my cards within the next 2 days or I'll continue to be ancy =[

Check out Mark Wilson's Complete Course In Magic. It's basically a magic textbook, and it has a whole section devoted to the double-backed card. It also talks about double-faced cards, short cards, short-cornered cards, a plethora of card sleights. . . and that's just the card section. It goes on to coin magic, bill magic, silk/handkerchief magic, etc. I've found some real gems in that book, and there are some really strong double-backer routines.

The first time I got it was at my public library, but I think some bookstores have it. My copy came from Barnes & Noble, I think.
