Hi guys. I'm new to the whole cardistry scene, like under a year new. I've been looking into deck acquisitions and I quite like the look of the Bicycle Split Spades deck. I live in the UK and I seem unable to find them for love nor money, both the actual split spades deck and the Discovery Deck. I was wondering why this might be as they are available in the US either on Amazon or Blaine's official site, but he charges an extortionate amount in shipping. I've found a few decks on eBay but they're in Germany and way overpriced compared to what I've heard deck reviewers say they've bought them for.

At this early stage I'm really only into card tricks as a hobby, so generally I'm not looking for overkill spend wise, hence why I refuse to fork out ?35 on a deck which in the US you can pick up for under $10.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

In my (limited) experience, decks such as this will be overpriced no matter where you look. It's like designer clothing; it has one of the most famous street magician's name on it so it's going to sell for a high price. Even in the US I have yet to find an $8 deck of split spades. My advice is to get some classic bicycles for practice, a deck or two from Theory11 or Ellusionist for performance if you so choose, and then when you're ready spend lots of money on decks such as split spades just for your collection which you will never open. It's where I started, hope this helps some.
Best regards,
