What do you guys think of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BWfx5E0tGY

I wanted to do a backwards transposition trick and this is what I came up with. The concept of a backwards transpo, in my head at least, is that I show you a card and put it down, but in the process I reveal that I've put down another card. This happens a second time. Then, after suitable banter, the cards on the table are show to be the cards that they were supposed to be in the first place.

I had one person comment that I was revealing the concept of a DL. Do you think that's a huge problem in this context? Or do you think that non-magicians are familiar with the concept already and this video is not that big a problem?

It does indeed reveal the double lift. Whether the spectator is familiar with the concept of it or not, if you do it well (Your get-ready could use work, on that note), invisibly, it will work.

Aside from that, the effect lacks motivation and is confusing to the brain and to the eye. Also, the first third of the video is shuffling. I like shuffling displays but you could stand to cut that down.

Just my two cents like.

I'm really sorry my friend but i don't like this trick, it's to risky to do that mexican turnover or whatever you are doing there, there's really no reason at all to take another card to turn over a card on the table, the spectators will wonder why you just don't turn it over with your hand. And another thing is about when you talk, either you talk when you do something or not, if you don't want to you don't have to say that you're shuffling the deck or that the top card is the queen of clubs, because the audience have got own eyes and their own brain. But if you really have to say it, say it WHEN you do it and not when you have done it ;)

Thanks for the advice. I don't think I'd use it in performance because it is confusing, but it was an idea. Do you think a very obvious top change would work here? I may need to do a video of that.

Your get-ready could use work, on that note
This is true. I could stand to learn the pinky count, but when I can take advantage of misdirection there is no problem. (I've been told that I've got good misdirection.)

The thing you need to ask yourself when ever you create an effect, especially one which is a variation of an existing plot is how did you improve upon the starting point. Whilst it may not improve in all aspects and most likely it will improve one however cause other elements to be weakened. And I am sorry to say this however the effect has not improved in any way shape or form the original effect.

Thanks D ICE R. Your advice and criticism will be considered. I see what you are saying. I've probably just made the trick weaker, which is never a good thing.
