Invisible Deck Help?

So I just purchased the Invisible Deck DVD with Justin Kredible. Before you ask, yes I knew how it worked before hand, no I don't think I wasted my money. Anyways, my biggest issue is that some of the cards refuse to cooperate. The keep slipping out of their pairs. Is there anyway to prevent this? I am still relatively new to the deck so more practice will help but sometimes just setting the cards down causes them to slide out of place.

Just to follow-up on this (sorry if this is slightly thread hijacking), is there any reason T11 stopped stocking the Invisible Deck?

As a perfect effect for beginners (or anyone, ever), I was a bit dumbfounded when I noticed you guys selling that great instructional DVD, but no longer selling the actual deck.

The DVD comes with the deck, I believe. And if you contact tech support you can purchase the gimmick by itself if I'm not mistaken. I believe this is just to keep those who would spoil others fun from figuring out the trick by skimming over the site.

I actually just received mine in the mail Wednesday. It does, after some practice it looks like it could be one of my favorite trick. I believe they were trying to be subtle about it being a gimmick deck by putting everything in bold at the bottom, but unless something has changed since they sent my package earlier this week, it still comes with one.

Okay, cool. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. It's something I've been wondering about for a bit.

Back in the day (when I ordered my first Invisible Deck from T11), they definitely mentioned the gimmick on the product page. I remember that, for sure.

So I just thought it was way weird, when they changed the copy on the page, to where it now no longer suggests that the actual, physical deck is included with the DVD.

I suppose maybe it IS mentioned. And it's just... invisible (ha, ha).

Could be, and no problem. I think that Theory11 knows better than to charge fifteen dollars for just a DVD containing instructions to a trick that is pretty well known in the magic community(if underrated). I bought it because I am a fan of Justin and I haven't had a chance to get one before. That, and the last time I attempted to make my own set I ruined a pair of cards.

You know (this is embarrassing), I went back and reread the product description just now, and apparently I completely skipped over the part that says, "this package includes absolutely EVERYTHING you need."

Which it does. It totally, completely, absolutely and in every way, does.

And now I feel dumb. But that's okay! Because it's in character for me (I'm playing a dumb guy on the Internet).

If you dont feel like ordering a completely new deck, you can go to a local crafts or maybe even hardware store for some matte finish. Krylon Spray Paint has a bottle of spray matte finish and that works pretty darn well for me. You can always buy another deck though of course if you really wanted.

Very cool, thank you.

I still kind-of feel like the amazing marketing mavens at T11 might be shooting themselves in the foot a bit, by not mentioning everything included in what they're selling here.

I say, give the consumer the knowledge of exactly what they're getting. Hold nothing back.

Hey guys, we absolutely include the Invisible Deck - and not only do we include A invisible deck - we include THE best handling Invisible Deck I've ever touched. Each of them is handcrafted by Jeremy Hanrahan, and I'm absolutely confident that they're THE most reliable, durable Invisible Decks on the market - bar none. These are not the same sort of decks you see elsewhere for $5 and sketchy quality - you get what you pay for, and with ours, it's the best.

Why would anyone think that you wasted your money? The Invisible Deck is an amazing effect for beginners, novices, and anybody in between. To answer your your problem. It is a sensitive deck. Don't spread them applying too much force or they will spread apart. Kinda just let them fall from your left hand into the right slightly assisting the cards with your thumb. I know that might sound a little confusing, but that does work. If you have any other questions, don't be hesitant to ask me. I'll do my best to help.
