Just a Question...

I don't really agree with the fact about videos being sold for 30$ or PDFs etc. It's not just the production cost, but alot of time and effort goes into creating such tricks and moves and the fact that these must be practiced, improved upon and then filmed brings up the value.

Avancer. look., I boiught a booklet with: witness, and some other effects. for 15 follars. WHY would I pay 20$ for witness? (this book was Thinking out loud by lee Asher) In my opinion. 90% of DVD's are overpriced. and alot of PDF's as well.

...ok...i saw that and i was like.."wtf is this guy doing?"

Ellusionist is expensive not because of the 'cost' to make it, but the time and effort put in to make the product as good as it is. Who cares if it's gimmciked or not? It was an amazing idea (probably an idea that yoy wouldnt even get close to with your desk..objects....tricks??).

You're buying an IDEA that is high in value, not just a product.

Look. I agree that a gimmick should jack the price up. (For example, T11 sells thier goimmicks for 10$, and thier DVD's for 20....which I mist disgress, is sort of expensive for one effect) But on the other hand, E sells something (Ungimmicked I might add) for about 25-30 dollars (Kaos etc.) also, some of thier effects are TOTAL JIPS! for example. my friend was talking to me about fraud. and apparantly you you need something that is over 100$! and Warning as well. I mean, thats an old bar trick! (Wow...it really sounds like I'm calling danny out doesn;t it? I'm not thouigh) Not to mention Warning (The core thing of warning) was in Danny;s lecture notes. I know that people are entitles for thier own opinion, and I know that I'm going on and on and on. Thats why I'll stop here/. Just...Look. I'm not trying to promote a ton of stuff. I'm just trying to help the magic world get more creative. Because you type in magic, and what do you get? People performing other peoples effects (Which isn;t bad) and they perform it badly, with unoriginal presentation. look at barry and stuart! they do some sweet stuff I've seen before, but do a unique (And awesome) presentation. youbue them ;)

You first talked about the price of the instructional dvds, then you talked about helping the magic world to be more creative... hmmm I can't really follow the logic behind the two things...

You clearly have a very naive understanding of economics and economic theory, especially applied to magic.

I'm not going to bless that video with a response other than to say that you are very, very wrong.
