What does everyone think of this guy and his material? I am looking into getting all his material but was curious what others thought of him. Thanks for your insight.

He is very skilled and has some very interesting ideas. You can't go wrong purchasing his notes. They are very good, and well worth the money.

I don't have the Roadrunner Cull DVD, but it is on my long list of items to get. It is explained in his notes, and is pretty much worth the price of the notes. The other good material is like a bonus... :)

That's my 2 cents...

i appreciate that, im going to his lecture tomm, i live right by the guy and have seen him live and definitely appreciate his immense skill with a deck of cards. I am so excited to go and am actually looking forward to seeing other magic he performs other then cards. Also cards im looking forward too don't get me wrong, but going back to the aspect of redline i appreciate seeing the different "on the spot" magic that impresses people. i was out a bar last night with many friends and i can do some hard card magic and sleights and they enjoyed it, but i think what impressed them more is the dumb rubberbands i had and all the effects i could do and also i borrowed a guys ring and did ring thing and i think they were like ... thats my ring lol hows he doing that. i enjoy that type of magic, but also strive to be one of those upper echelon of card guys someday as well. but also appreciate the other types of impromptu magic

He is a very nice guy, and very good at what he does. Annoyingly, he's younger than me, and a much better magician :). I have his Roadrunner Cull DVD, and it's an excellent investment. You can perform some absolute miracles if you have this technique mastered.

That's cool that you did that stuff man, not nearly enough people go out and perform for their friends (self included at the moment I must confess). Most sit at home, practicing sleights and posting them to youtube with bad angles and then try and create new effects or new moves that will fool the people watching - no matter how impracticle or how unthought out it is - and hope to make a famous name for themselves; which they do as "that youtube magician". (Again, self included in the past)

You can do the hardcore sleights and stuff and that's cool, but you gotta know when to do the effects to blow 'em away. You'll find that a lot of those "Upper Echelon" card guys do a lot of simple stuff; Aaron Fisher's Search and Destroy is a great example.

thats what im learning from magic. i can do crazy cool things, but damn there soo impractical its retarted. like diminishing returns, not a hard thing to accomplish but the effect itself to me is amazing. i love the look of it and its great, but i could never see that effect being done in a walkaround setting. people try to do all the crazy stuff on a video, but not actually performing. they might be awesome in their basement but i respect the people like paul cummins and koysta who perform hard material for real people in real time. thats what im trying to do. i think i lack the presentational aspects of ever being a copperfield, but i do closeup magic thats what i want, i don't want ot be copperfield, don't get me wrong i love watching him, but people learn your own style and learn your own limits.
