Kranzo Lecture

Don't forget guys Nathan Kranzo will be holding a lecture in Irving Texas this weekend. PM me for details if you need them. I have been working with Nathans visual coin vanish "Squish", for a while now and I'm anxious to perform it for him this weekend. If you haven't been to one of his lectures yet this is a must see. See you guys there.:)

What club are you with Dizzi? (The DMC). You can check him out here.

He is the creator of E's Box Monster and has a DVD in their Loops series as well. He's been highlighting in several magic magazines including Magic magazine and he's tremendously funny. Missing this one will cost you.

Well, then you'll never recognize me. I don't have Guardians. I'll be carrying some red and blue bikes. :)

Speaking of stuff to bring, i've never been to a lecture before. I've tried to stay away from them, but decided to try them out, so what all should I bring? I'm already for sure bringing a deck of red and blue bikes, but is there anything else I should bring? Thanks!

We'll you really don't need anything to be honest with you. You will usually sit there and just watch the presentation and after words you can ask questions, and have an option to purchase more material if you would like at a discount. My advice to you is never avoid any lectures or workshops made available to you. They are all beneficial in one way or another they can provide you with valuable information and allow you to learn from some of the best in the industry. I was just merely just being funny about bringing my gaurdians for the most part you will just be sitting there and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. I have probably been to about 50 lectures and each one of them was just as important as the other.

I performed a couple of my own tricks for Aldo Columbini at one of his lectures and he has been friend ever since then. So I would never avoid these kind of opportunities.

Well, alrighty then. :)

The only reason I stayed away from them is because I don't want another magicians style to rub off on me. Which is another reason I like books more than DVDs. It's just like when you move to a place where they speak with a different accent than you. Most of the time, and not on purpose, their you'll start to pick up on their accent. And when I hang out around magicians their performance style rubs off on me, and I try to keep a unique style. That's really the only reason.

I wouldn't make a habit out of thinking like that Anthony. What I mean by that is watching others perform may allow you to see holes in your routine. You will always have your own style and may not even realize it. Being open to learning from successful people will only benefit you trust me. I thought like that when I was beginning magic and until I finally opened my mind up to others thats when I started realizing how much I still needed to learn. Thats a sign of someone who doesn't let ego and pride get in the way of furthering their career in magic. I wouldn't worry about losing your style cause you can always merge experience and you together as one later.

I understand what you're saying. But I don't COMPLETELY stay away from other performers. I really enjoy seeing others perform, and yes it helps me improve. But what i'm trying to say is the reason I stayed away from lectures was that I was scared i'd lose my style. But i'm not really like that anymore, which is why i'm trying out the lecture experience.

I feel you man thats good it shows your maturing on your road to learning great magic. I myself learn something new all the time and find problems with my performances all the time as well. I'll see you there tommorrow. I know you'll enjoy it how could you not it's kRANZO. lol:)

Hey I think Im the one that told you guys about this in the first place!:p

But yeah when I first heard about this lecture it was at my first IMB/Dallas Magicians Club meeting. Also Bizzaro was lecturing that day(lucky me right?)

Well the overall lecture was flooring. It was great seeing Nathan perform with loops live and his twist on 3 fly. I enjoyed hanging out with you guys and I hoped you guys liked the magic I performed for you. We'll mix it up soon guys. Also I wanted to make note that Nathans comedy routines are unique and not over the top so he was quite enjoyable to watch for presentation as well.
